Empowerment manifesto

Empowerment is a Blackpool-based charity that serves marginalised communities in Blackpool and the Fylde coast.

Working with individuals and families, it runs a number of different programmes for people who are coping with the effects of homelessness, mental health issues, domestic abuse, substance misuse, and more.

Historically each programme had its own identity, which, as the charity grew, became challenging to manage.

The leadership team used the opportunity presented by a rebrand to house the programmes under the Empowerment umbrella, and I was briefed by their branding agency StudioLWD to write a manifesto that would bring the programme delivery teams together with a powerful message of unity.

Empowerment is an incredibly diverse family of services.

Services that are delivered by amazing individuals who care passionately about Blackpool’s most vulnerable people.

People who still desperately need our help to make sure their voices are heard, their opinions respected, and their needs met so they can live with dignity and pride.

Together, we can support the silenced.

Together, we can empower those most at risk.

Together, we can make a change for the better.

Together, we can achieve kindness, justice, and equality for all.

This is real.

This is life-affirming.

This is Empowerment.
